What if?

What If…..

What if we had unconditional love in our families, and knew that we would not be badly treated if we made a mistake…then there would be abundant love and little fear.

What if we noticed each other and showed appreciation with Catch Them Being Good….then we would all be more likely to have a positive mental attitude.

What if we embraced diversity and nobody expected us to conform to a single belief system….then we would be free to express our individuality.

What if mistakes were seen as healthy growing experiences…then we would take more risks and enjoy experimenting with new ideas.

What if we maintained a spirit of adventure and accepted change as natural and desirable…then we would be more comfortable with ambiguity and allowing things to flow and change around us.

What if we let go of thinking like victims… then we would accept personal responsibility for our thoughts, feelings and behavior.

What if we used the Serenity Prayer as a guide, accepting what we cannot change, changing what we can and asking for the wisdom to know the difference… then we would have peace.

What if we felt safe enough to talk about sensitive subjects like sex, death, disease, drugs and crime… then there would be little ignorance.

What if we listened receptively to each other… then there would be little loneliness.

What if we were able to express ourselves with assertive I-statements… then communication would be better received by others.

What if we treated each other with respect… then more of us would have high self-esteem.

What if we understood the developmental stages of children and could promote their advancement to the next stage… then more people would become self-actualized.
