I want to let people know that I will be at the Langley Children’s festival in Fort Langley on Friday June 19th showcasing the Breakthrough Parenting course.
I will also be at McCleod Park for the Langley Canada Day Celebrations if you would like to meet me and ask questions.
I will also be having an information session Friday July 10 7:00pm – 8:30pm in the multi-purpose room at Murrayville Library.

I’m glad you are enjoying it. I have a firm belief that children need to have relationships with both parents. That’s it is the duty of parents to become the best parents they can be so they can help their children become all they are meant to be.

Cynthia, I’m not quite sure what you mean. A very fundamental part of my belief system is to Understand the Source of Behavior. If we deal strictly with the behavior we don’t get to the real problem. Not only do I now have phemominal relationships with both my children but have developed what I think is a very good co-parenting relationship with my daughter’s father. I have been making a choice to understand his behavior and modify mine to avoid confrontation and build on collaboration.

I’m new to having a child. My sister passed away a few months back and since my nephew has never meet his father, he wanted to stay with me. It wasn’t hard to say, yes. He is blood and I love the kid. I’m in search of every piece of information I can find on the internet about raising a child because I want to be the best uncle a kid can have so, thank you for the blog post and now I must move on to the next one.
Sounds like you have a big heart and kudos to you for taking on raising your sister’s son. Also for becoming informed. We take lessons and are trained to do just about everything in our lives, yet very few of us train to be parents. Instead we use the trial and error method and go by strictly our instincts. Just think if we tried to learn driving that way!
